Ironbound parking. Those two words are almost impossible to use in one sentence – unless it includes the words no, none or any other negative term. You may have better luck with a parking permit from the City of Newark. The details are below and the application is available here.
DESIGNATED PARKING AREAS
Residential and Business Permit Parking Areas are designated in Title 23, Chapter 5 of the City of Newark’s
Municipal Ordinance.
Residential Parking: Residents of a street or portion of a street where parking is restricted by Title 23,
Chapter 5 may obtain a City of Newark parking permit which is valid for one (1) year. Limit: 2 per unit
Business Parking: The owner or employee of a business on Ferry Street between New Jersey Railroad
Avenue and Van Buren Street that is the principal operator or owner of a noncommercial vehicle may obtain
a permanent parking permit which is valid for one (1) year. Limit: 5 per business
Visitor Parking: Residents of a street or portion of a street where parking is restricted by Title 23, Chapter 5
may obtain a City of Newark visitor parking permit which is valid for up to two (2) weeks. Limit: 1 per
unit
PARKING PERMIT REGULATIONS AND APPLICATION
• A Parking Permit will only be issued to a person that is a resident or an owner/employee of a
business where parking is restricted by Title 23, Chapter 5;
• Residential and Business Parking Permits are $5.00 per year. Permits are valid until January 31st of
the following year;
• Visitor Parking Permits are $15 per issuance. Permits are valid for the period described on the
permit up to 2 weeks;
• Permits must be affixed to the rearview mirror on the windshield or the dashboard and must be
clearly visible when the vehicle is parked;
• Parking Permits are valid only for the vehicle listed on the application. If a resident changes
vehicles, he or she must provide proof of the change to the License Unit in B-17 at 920 Broad Street
in Newark;
• A Parking Permit does not guarantee or reserve an on-street parking space;
• You must provide a copy of two recent bills (utility, telephone, cable, water, or tax) and a valid New
Jersey Driver’s License, Registration, and Insurance certificate with the address where the permit
will be issued;

Any way you could email me that parking permit application? Link says I am “not authorized”.
