This is what the “Re-Election Fund of Augusto Amador” has to say about Peter Pantoliano running for the School Board:
“Some candidates who have never done anything for our community have stated that, if elected, they will use this election as a way of running for the East Ward Council seat in 2010. Don’t be fooled by opportunists!”

There are people that speak to much but do not have the courage to stand up and do anything, Peter stepped up and made an effort to better the Newark Board of Education.
So what his goal is to be councilman, where did all the politicians start, I bet Augie Amador was not born a Councilman.
Instead of bad mouthing and saying negative things about Peter Pantoliano maybe people should get to know him and find out exactly what he stands for and support his ideas and standards.
It’s time people tell Augie Amador that there is a new Sherrif in town and his name is Peter Pantoliano and he is here to stay.
I can’t believe this jackass would bad mouth someone who stands for better causes and would probably help out the east ward more than Augie. Peter Pantoliano would be a great addition to the council. Augie has been in office for way too long and has not done anything. It’s time for Augie to give up. He has his back up against the wall and has nothing to do but bad mouth Peter Pantoliano. Augie, you need to stop saying things about your opposing candidates and start doing something because when that election comes around, your ass is going to be out of office.
I think being in office for soo many terms is not the best thing for our community. It is time for a change and to give someone else a chance to be in office and implement change and new ideas. How is someone even allowed to be in office for so long?
Of course, Augie began his career as the first Portuguese American to be elected to the school board. Clearly the man’s comments make little sense to anyone who bothers to check facts. Peter’s understanding of business and community will foster what East Ward residents have been thirsting for – a share of the economic benefits that come with business developments that foster local employment in long term, stable and good paying jobs.
Well with this upcoming election My team is here and we are going to get Amador re-elected. its a shame we are only getting involved about 2 months before the actual election, but we can get him an estimated 500-800 votes from the Ironbound alone..
we know people that know people that Peter would never have gotten too, even with his best pitch man…
Someone should question Pantoliano on his “honesty”….what is this PhD he holds? It doesn’t exist….look into it. Why would somone live a lie…he’s Dr of what? He’s a business man…just like all the others, out for the glory.
Augie is done not because he has been here to long only beacause he hasn’t done anything to intertain him for another 4 yrs. We need to get back to basics & that’s to cater to ALL people & ALL buisness people in the eastward. Augie is a NON DISCRIPT & if you vote for him again you are making a big mistake so if your portuguese & proud vote C-18
Auguie Amador has done absolutely nothing for our community,
ABSOLUTELY NOTHING but bad things, as per wikipedia: “According to the New York Times, in an apparent quid pro quou, Amador dropped his opposition to a downtown Eminent Domain land deal after receiving $1,000 from an involved developer, and another $1,000, privately from one of the principals of that corporation. A spokesman for a Community Group opposed to the land deal stated that “This is all illegal, but what does it say? Pay to play”.. I Mean The Guy Is Corrupt according to THE NEW YORK TIMES FOR GOD SAKE!! But Unfortunately Pantoliano was not the right opponent for this useless guy, someone else, FROM Newark, a minority perhaps, not a Rich Italian American with no roots what so ever in Newark.. A Minority community leader From The East Ward, From Newark.
